All costs associated with this onboarding process can be paid by Avant Home Care upfront.  Note that if this is the case, those costs will become deductions.  The total cost will be divided into four weekly deductions from your first 4 paychecks. Please be sure to let the office know if you prefer this method.

You must schedule and take a background check / fingerprinting. If you do not have an active one in the GCHEXS system, we can start the process for you. Just go to Step #2, click on the “Send Credentials” button and attach a copy of your ID and SS# to the pre-made email. Replace the wording in the subject of the email to “Start Background for Me” and send.

To do it yourself, click on “Schedule Fingerprinting” in the purple button. Once you click that link go to Applicant Background Check (ABC) Portal and follow the instructions. Complete all steps and schedule fingerprinting.  Contact us to let us know the date and time you will be taking the fingerprinting. Use Provider Code: KNYYG7

If you already have any OR all credentials needed, click “Send Credentials” in the purple button and just attach them to the pre-made email and send. Our office staff will document and file them with your employee folder for compliance. If you don’t have credentials yet, you can always come back here to send credentials once you receive them.

  • Current CPR Certification - Can NOT be just an online course

  • TB Test Results - within 1 year

  • Copies of ID and SS card

  • PCA Test results - passing above 80%

You must take a pass a 100 Question - PCA Test that is accredited and in compliance with the State of Georgia. Passing = a score of 80% or more.‍ ‍

When you are ready and have the available time to take the test, CLICK the purple button to send the pre-made email to office staff. They will promptly send you the test to take. Please finish completely. If you stop to finish later, it will grade you at that stopping point. So be ready to take the full test.‍ ‍

After you pass the test, you will receive a certificate.‍ ‍

Download the certificate, then come back to this page and click the send credentials button. Attach and send the copy of the certificate to us.

These documents include: Avant Home Care's Handbook & Orientation + Policies & Procedures. Click on the purple button to send an email to office staff. We will promptly send you an email with a link to Review, Fill, Sign and Date those documents. When received, please print and sign the documents everywhere prompted to before clicking on the “Finisth” button.

You must have current TB (Tuberculosis) Test Results (within 1 year.)  If not, you must schedule to take one. There is NO link to this one. You can walk-in to any Piedmont UrgentCare, CVS, Walgreens, or Local Clinic to take one. You can even schedule one at your own physician’s office.

You must have a current CPR/AED & FIRST AID CERTIFICATION. This CAN NOT be just an online class or paid certificate.  The State of Georgia requires you to do hands-on training. If you do not have hands-on training. Avant Home Care will provide a class for you through IKON CPR TRAINING.

***Blended is half online + half in-person hands-on training and skills assessment.

Before you are assigned a shift or your family member has approval, you will be sent a couple of emails to download the ADP app (pay app) and Mobile Caregiver + app. (clock-in and out app)

For PCA's or (Family Hire) PCA's

Typical costs : CPR - $50 (discounted for our caregivers through IKON CPR TRAINING) / Background/Fingerprinting - $51.99 / TB Test - ranges between $35 - $50 for a total of about $152.00.  So, you would see deductions of $38 from your first 4 paychecks.

For CNA's 

Most CNA's already have credentials needed to start right away.  If some credentials need to be renewed, the same applies as above.
